February 8, 2024 – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has received three recognitions as part of the 18th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards. The Firm’s business restructuring team was highlighted for its role in the following matters:
- Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Over $1B): Darren Azman, Charles Gibbs, Joseph Evans and Gregg Steinman represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 case for Voyager Digital, a crypto exchange and yield earning platform with $1.8 billion of customer claims.
- Information Technology Deal of the Year: David Hurst, Darren Azman, Kristin Going and Stacy Lutkus provided restructuring advice to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 cases of iMedia Brands Inc. et al., a Minnesota-based media company. iMedia specializes in entertainment, e-commerce and advertising and has more than $450 million of annual sales.
- Consumer Staples Deal of the Year (Over $100MM): Charles Gibbs, Darren Azman and Kristin Going represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings for AppHarvest Inc., an agriculture technology company that specializes in controlled environment farms.
