International law firm McDermott Will & Emery received the highest ‘elite’ ranking in five categories in the 2021 Chambers Associate Satisfaction Survey, including associate satisfaction, career development, diversity and retention. McDermott was also ranked ‘excellent’ for quality of life and as ‘strong’ in pro bono. The Firm also ranked in the top 10 for COVID-19 response.

Chambers is an independent research company that operates across 200 jurisdictions. They provide detailed rankings on the legal front through thousands of interviews and surveys to ensure they deliver the most accurate legal rankings. For its Associate Satisfaction Survey, Chambers invited junior associates to complete an online survey regarding law firm life. The survey consisted of 40 questions, including inquiries on the associate’s views of the firm’s competitors, their relationships with partners and clients, their expectations, aspirations and exit plans.
