International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is proud to announce that Miami-based partner, Dana Dombey has been honored with the Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc’s (LSGMI) “Law Partners for Equal Justice” award, which recognizes those who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to pro bono causes. McDermott was also honored by LSGMI and was selected as the recipient of the “Equal Justice Pro Bono Impact Award” for the Firm’s dedication to providing legal assistance to those in need.
“It’s vital to be a part of a firm that understands the importance of giving back. We feel a personal and professional responsibility to better our communities and this recognition shows our commitment to making that happen, both at the individual and community level,” said Jerry Sokol, managing partner of the McDermott’s Miami office. “Congratulations to all of the team members who were recognized and thank you for making our community stronger.”
LSGMI recognized Dana for her commitment to pro bono causes both in her work and in her community. Dana has facilitated numerous pro bono projects, accepting cases for full representation and has mentored associates with their own pro bono service.
The Firm was selected for the large team of lawyers who volunteered to take on pro bono projects with LSGMI this year, through participation in LSGMI’s legal clinics and taking on full-representation matters. Through this work, McDermott was able to provide meaningful and much-needed legal assistance to individuals and small businesses in our community during a time of extraordinary difficulty and uncertainty.
