November 24, 2014 – The National Law Journal has named McDermott Will & Emery to its “2014 Appellate Hot List.” McDermott is recognized for its exceptional body of appellate work this year on major issues before the U.S. Supreme Court and the federal courts of appeals, including federalism, campaign finance, ERISA preemption, and patent law.
The Firm was recognized for its tactical work in Arizona v The Inter Tribal Counsel of Arizona, under the leadership of M. Miller Baker, and Bobby Burchfield’s amicus argument in McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission. McDermott’s work on cases involving ERISA preemption and patent law in the courts of appeals was also highlighted.
The 2014 Appellate Hot List appeared in the November 17 edition of the National Law Journal and featured Appellate Group co-chair Miller Baker.
