Overview
Karen Sealander, who spoke at a Washington, DC meeting of industry group eHealth Initiative, predicted that a continuing resolution or final budget bill would include reform of the stringent “meaningful use” escalator clause of the HITECH Act. Noting that CMS has hired a contractor to examine such reforms, Ms. Sealander said, “They wouldn’t have hired the contractor if they didn’t want to do something.”
