Overview
Melissa R. Alvarez focuses her practice on complex civil litigation and products liability defense. She regularly represents clients in product liability actions in state and federal jurisdictions. Melissa regularly advises clients, including medical device manufacturers, on product liability risks and exposure. She has experience counseling clients in matters associated with major toxic tort, commercial and business litigation, the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
Melissa serves as counsel for Bayer/Monsanto Company in multiple matters including: GBH litigation and PCB water cases. She also represents a Fortune 100 company in toxic tort litigation throughout the State of Florida and is a National trial team member for Bayer/Monsanto involving pesticide litigation. While in law school, Melissa was an intern with the Education Advocacy Project for the Legal Aid Society of New York.

- Represents a real estate investment trust (REIT) in a JAMS complex arbitration proceeding culminating in a multimillion-dollar award to the REIT
