Overview
Alex Boota focuses his practice on litigation in the Supreme Court and appellate courts across the country. He also litigates major motions at the trial-court level and advises on complex litigation issues. His experience involves matters in a wide variety of substantive areas, including administrative and constitutional law. In addition, Alex maintains an active pro bono practice with a focus on civil rights and immigration cases.
Alex rejoins McDermott after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael S. Nachmanoff of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Prior to joining the Firm, Alex served as a law clerk for the Honorable A. Marvin Quattlebaum, Jr. of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
During law school, Alex was an articles editor for the Virginia Law Review and a member of the UVA Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. He was also a Law and Public Service fellow.
