Overview
Margaret Elliott is a part of the McDermott cryptocurrency team and focuses her practice on corporate and transactional matters involving licensing and regulatory issues regarding blockchain, cryptocurrency and FinTech companies.
Margaret was also involved in a large-scale audit of asbestos bankruptcy trust claims and personal injury claims processors. She worked with trial teams in preparation for mediations and settlement negotiations involving audit deficiencies and the sufficiency of evidence submitted in connection with claims. She also oversaw the process of complex compliance evaluations.
Prior to joining McDermott, Margaret helped defend an international airline client in a multidistrict litigation antitrust matter, regularly defended insurer clients in court and was involved in transactional matters for various international airlines.
