Garrett T. Kurtzweil focuses his practice on real estate transactions. Garrett represents private equity sponsors, real estate investment trusts, developers, capital providers and other investors in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.
During law school, Garrett was an articles editor for the Wisconsin Law Review.

- Represented Oak Street Real Estate Capital in the sale of a minority interest in its business to Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s AIMS Petershill*
- Represented buyer in $1.1 billion sale-leaseback, and CMBS financing, of portfolio of over 70 supermarket, shopping center and distribution properties located in California and Nevada*
- Represented buyer in $144 million sale-leaseback and financing of portfolio of office properties and industrial manufacturing plant located in Michigan and Iowa*
- Represented buyer in $725 million sale-leaseback and financing of distribution centers located in several states*
- Represented buyer in $267 million sale-leaseback for its corporate headquarters, distribution center and multiple retail properties located in several states*
- Represented private equity firm in a series of dispositions of select services hotels*
- Represented private equity firm in a series of portfolio mortgage financings of manufactured housing communities*
