Overview
Drawing from more than two decades of diverse legal experience, Erin Kelly advises healthcare organizations on transactional and regulatory matters. Erin brings to her clients unique insights from her tenure as in-house counsel at various healthcare organizations and her time practicing as a transactional attorney at a global law firm. She has particular expertise in regulatory matters, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare risk adjustment, compliance and issues affecting downstream service providers to health plans. She has counseled healthcare organizations on risk-bearing intermediary challenges, provider-enablement strategies, innovative care model designs, new product development, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation programs, value-based care arrangements and commercial contracting.
Prior to joining McDermott, Erin served as senior legal counsel and counsel for a Fortune 5 diversified healthcare solutions company and a Fortune 50 managed care company, and most recently, as deputy general counsel of an emerging growth healthcare services and technology company. She helped these organizations navigate complex healthcare regulatory frameworks and design risk mitigation strategies to achieve business-centric solutions.
In addition, Erin spent nearly a decade serving as outside counsel on transactional and corporate matters to clients in various industries. She provided counsel on sale, acquisition and merger transactions as well as private equity and venture capital investments, drafted and negotiated agreements related to those transactions and performed due diligence.
