Michaela (Míša) Novakova focuses her practice on advising clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors in the context of transactions (M&A, joint ventures and private equity), regulatory matters (compliance and strategy), and data and privacy compliance issues.

Míša’s practice includes advising on projects covering:

• Data protection and healthcare regulatory due diligence
• Online advertising and marketing strategies, including both privacy and healthcare regulatory aspects;
• Data sharing terms and data processing agreements;
• Cybersecurity incidents and data breaches;
• Internal and external policy drafting and reviews; and

• Assisted with advising a manufacturer of biopharmaceutical therapeutics and vaccines on its long-term agreement with a public entity
• Assisted with data protection due diligence review in the context of investments and M&A transactions, on multiple transactions including deals concerning a payment platform provider, an orthopedic hospital and a clinical research organization
• Assisted with advising a sexual health online testing service provider on their in-vitro diagnostics device adverting campaign
• Assisted with advising on various regulatory matters, such as classification and registration of medical devices, regulatory requirements for telemedicine and coaching services
• Assisted with preparing a benchmarking memorandum for a healthcare sector transformation program for a country
