Overview
Nick Paul focuses his practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters for public and private companies. Nick regularly leads due diligence and advises on employee benefits and executive compensation issues in connection with corporate transactions involving both public and private companies. Nick also regularly drafts and advises on issues related to cash bonus plans, equity compensation plans, phantom unit plans, executive severance and change in control agreements and executive employment agreements.
Additionally, Nick has experience advising clients on various employee benefits and executive compensation issues, including issues related to Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 409A, IRC Section 162(m), IRC Section 280G, IRC Section 83, Securities Exchange Act of 1934 reports, corporate governance and disclosure compliance and ERISA Title I and fiduciary issues.
While in law school, Nick was a program quarterfinalist for the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. Additionally, Nick was an editor for the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and served as Vice President of Administration for the Sports Law Society.
