Overview
Patrick V. Kennedy focuses his practice exclusively on cryptocurrency and blockchain, with a specific emphasis on cryptocurrency-related litigation, regulatory advice, and government investigations.
Part of Patrick’s litigation experience includes cases involving allegations of stolen or mismanaged cryptocurrency. He also advises clients on issues involving state and federal banking and securities laws.
Patrick also maintains an active pro bono practice. He represents clients in domestic-related disputes in family court and advises small businesses on accessing government economic relief programs and other legal issues related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Prior to joining McDermott, Patrick served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky, Senior United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
During law school, Patrick served as Executive Editor of the New York Law School Law Review.
