Overview
Jeffrey D. Ruskin focuses his practice on a broad spectrum of real estate and real estate finance transactions. He represents lenders, borrowers, investors, funds, purchasers, sellers, and developers in the acquisition, disposition, financing, refinancing, and development of real estate assets, including office buildings, hotels, multi-family, retail centers, and mixed-use projects.
Jeff regularly advises various financial institutions and borrowers in the origination of commercial mortgage loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and other structured financing. He also has extensive experience handling secondary market transactions, loan-on-loan arrangements, complex workouts, and the negotiation of intercreditor and co-lender agreements.
In addition, Jeff has substantial experience representing clients in the sale and purchase of fee and equity interests in real property, including structuring joint venture arrangements.

- Represented an institutional investor in the acquisition and financing of a $206 million portfolio of six multifamily residential properties located in Houston, Texas*
- Represented a purchaser in the acquisition and financing of a $56 million mixed-use shopping center in Boston, Massachusetts*
