Stephen P. Aber focuses his practice on corporate and transactional matters across various industries, including life sciences and technology. He advises public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and governance matters. Stephen also assists early-stage life sciences companies in establishing operations in the United States.
Stephen maintains a pro bono practice, providing corporate and governance advice to nonprofit entities.
While in law school, Stephen was an editor for the Review of Banking and Financial Law.

- Advised a leading healthcare improvement company in the divestiture of its non-healthcare group purchasing organization operations (with annual transaction volume approaching $30 billion) for approximately $800 million to a leading non-healthcare group purchasing organization
- Advised a large, privately owned, for-profit health system in the court-supervised sale of its primary care provider organization – one of the largest in the country with a significant presence in 10 states – to a primary care provider organization delivering high-quality care across multiple states
- Assisted multiple early-stage life science companies in establishing operations in the United States
- Advised a global supplier of technology and services in its acquisition of a leading provider of security and life safety solutions and system integration services in North America, which employed around 1,500 associates across 35 locations in Canada and the United States
- Advised a global supplier of technology and services in its acquisition of the business of a building automation solutions provider and system integrator with approximately 100 employees in offices in North and South Carolina
- Advised a leading private equity firm focused on the digital infrastructure and technology services sectors in its acquisition of a national cybersecurity risk, technology, and networking organization
- Advised a leading global printed circuit board supplier in its acquisition of an advanced trader of printed circuit boards in the Silicon Valley region
- Advised a risk management and technical consultancy in construction, real estate, and infrastructure in its acquisition of a testing and inspection firm with 16 offices in six states and 600 employees serving both the public and private sectors, including schools, hospitals, high-rises, utilities, contractors, developers, and architects
- Assisted a leading distributor of specialty building materials in the restructuring and integration of its business and implementation of an employee leasing structure to simplify corporate processes and operational systems and facilitate further expansion
- Assisted a leading provider of equipment, supplies, and services to the food service industry in an internal restructuring to consolidate its existing subsidiaries into several new operating entities and implement an employee leasing structure to streamline its business operations
