Overview
Vincent Norwood’s practice centers on helping a diverse array of corporate and individual clients navigate complex civil and criminal proceedings. He has extensive e-Discovery experience, which he has used in helping to represent clients in commercial litigation spanning a broad cross-section of industries, such as healthcare, pharmaceutical manufacturing, finance, information technology, corporate consulting, government relations, and retail. He has also spent a considerable portion of his career representing clients in employment matters.
Vincent has assisted with the representation of corporate clients including defending a pharmaceutical manufacturer against a Qui Tam action brought under both federal and state false claims acts; responding to extensive US Department of Justice (DOJ) antitrust-related civil investigative demands on behalf of an international healthcare entity; preparing a global agricultural chemical corporation to defend against multistate toxic tort litigation; aiding a government relations client in responding to a federal congressional inquiry and related federal criminal investigation; and guiding numerous globally-scoped companies through merger-related DOJ and Federal Trade Commission Second Requests.
In his employment law practice, Vincent has also represented clients in matters involving breaches of non-compete and duty of loyalty clauses; misappropriation of trade secrets; private and federal-sector employment discrimination claims litigated before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in US District Court; federal-sector whistleblower claims filed with the US Office of Special Counsel; and assorted internal investigations and grievance proceedings.
Prior to joining McDermott, Vincent worked as a Staff Attorney, as a government official for federal and municipal agencies, and as a solo practitioner.
