Overview
William Gibson-Dancer is a senior associate in the London Finance, Restructuring and Special Situations Group, focusing his practice on domestic and cross-border leveraged finance transactions, advising corporate borrowers and issuers, private equity firms, direct lenders and other institutional investors.
William is experienced in acting on transactions across the capital structure, including leveraged buyouts, domestic and cross-border senior, second lien and mezzanine lending, holdco financing and other debt securities. William also has experience in infrastructure financing, real estate finance and general lending.

- Advising the sponsor on the AU$3.5bn financing for its acquisition of a casino and hotel operator in Australia*
- Advising an international telecommunications business and an infrastructure investment company on the €550m financing of their joint venture data centre business*
- Advising an international telecommunications business on various Term Loan A, Term Loan B and other facilities*
- Advising the lenders on the acquisition financing of a European gaming business by a private equity sponsor-backed portfolio company*
- Advising the agent in respect of a syndicated revolving credit facility as part of the refinancing of a high-yield note structure*
- Advising a direct lender in respect of the unitranche facility supporting a bid for an Australian medical technology company*
- Advising an investment management company in connection with a proposed holdco PIK and backstop Term Loan B facility for a distressed French borrower*
- Advising the mandated lead arranger on the acquisition financing of a Middle Eastern drinks manufacturing business*
- Advising the borrower on its acquisition and restructuring of a national British hotel chain*
