Dr. Liu’s practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, patent portfolio management, freedom-to-operate analysis, as well as patent invalidity and non-infringement assessment. He assists his clients with a wide array of technologies, including molecular genetics, biotechnology, immunology, gene and cell therapy, big data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Liu was a patent agent at other large international law firms. He had also previously worked as a quantitative geneticist at a computational breeding company and as a senior molecular biologist at a seeds and biotechnology solutions company.
